You will find an article/lesson I uploaded. This is an article that is applicable to teachers at all levels, and is actually used in management training. I love it, since it kind of sums up the identity crisis of a teacher as they try to stay out of the way, and help students take charge of their own learning. This piece exemplifies my theory of teaching/learning and I hope it serves as an okay introduction to me. I know I may seem hands off, and I don't want you all to think I am not engaged in your coursework and field experience. I really am, but it is yours and I want you to own it. I could prepare Power Points and lecture on the finer points of the articles, but I want this experience to be you sharing what you learned and engaging together. That being said, I try to "assign" group work to get everyone talking to each other, but if that is not working for you, speak up and let me know. I know I can tend to sometimes seem too removed, and I want you to know that I am interested in each and everyone of you as you begin your careers in education; I just truly believe the best way for you to do this (at your level of education and experience) is to make it your own as much as possible!
Oh, and I will post summary/comments on Levy in the Files section!
